Speech Language Pathologist Kim Minero (L) Helps child practice speech soundsSuburban Speech Center is a private pediatric speech-language therapy center that has received national and statewide recognition for its outstanding services.  The Center was established 35 years ago and was originally located in South Orange, New Jersey. In 1998, we moved to our current location in Short Hills in order to update our facility and expand our staff and services.

Suburban Speech Center was chosen in December 2009, 2010, 2011, and again in 2012 as New Jersey Favorite Kids Doctors by New Jersey Family Magazine.  Our Center’s preschool speech-language program was selected by the New Jersey Speech-Language-Hearing Association to receive its “Program of the Year” Award as well as the President’s Award for Excellence.  We have been featured on CBS “This Morning”, as well as the National Geographic Network (The Science Times) and commended numerous times in the Star Ledger.  Suburban Speech Center also received the Leadership Award and the first Annual Pat Wilson Award from the Scientific Learning Corporation.  In addition, we have been selected by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the New Jersey Speech-Language-Hearing Association to provide continuing education training to other speech-language pathologists.

Our primary purpose is to provide our families with the highest quality care.  We take pride in the exceptional services we offer.  Our speech-language pathologists are highly qualified and trained to integrate state-of-the-art individualized programs specific to your child’s needs.  The staff at Suburban Speech Center meet on a daily basis to collectively review new techniques and materials to maximize each child’s progress.  Working together as a team, we accomplish the best for our children and their families!!
