With a background in both clinical and school psychology, she conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations of children and adolescents with suspected learning differences, developmental delays, and emotional issues. She is experienced in diagnosing and treating Autism Spectrum Disorder and helps parents navigate the services necessary to help improve socialization and communication.
Dr. Brown consults to many private and public schools and is available to observe your child in the school environment. She works with teachers and school professionals to develop appropriate strategies to support students’ individual needs within their unique learning context.
We are excited to offer social skills and “school readiness” groups for children ages 7-10 as well as social skills for tweens and teenagers. Dr. Brown is also passionate about providing parents with a place to connect with other parents in a supportive, non-judgemental environment where they are able to share practical strategies for raising their children. New parent groups will be offered this winter!
In addition to her private practice in Short Hills, New Jersey, Dr. Brown has been a psychologist with the Hallowell Center in New York City since its inception in 2007. Dr. Brown works closely with Dr. Edward Hallowell, who is a best-selling author and nationally renowned expert in ADHD. At the Hallowell Center, she conducts neuropsychological evaluations, school consults, and she treats individuals and families to understand and manage ADHD in order to get the most out of life!
